It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Bourque Sr. of Saint Martinville, Louisiana, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bourque and Yola Sonnier Bourque; his daughters-in-law, Connie Bourque and Dorrie Hebert Bourque; his brother Albert Bourque, Jr.; and his in-laws, Joseph and Bobbie Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Simon Bourque; his children, Jimmy Bourque, Jr., Kenneth Bourque (Danette), Melissa Walker (Lynn), Shawn Bourque (Patricia) and Evelyn Bourque; his stepchildren, Merlin Bourque, Jr., Joey Bourque, Joshua Bourque (Candy) and Jennifer Martinez; and his siblings, Harris Burch (Maxine), Anna Lee Berard, Juanita Chatagnier, Murphy Bourque (Diane), Audrey Horton, Ethel Melancon (Allen), Alberta Escagne, Merlin Bourque, Sr. (Jeanette) and Melba Romero (Doug). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
