He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Bourque and Pauline Dore Bourque; his wife Genevieve "Jan" Bourque; his son Lawrence "Boo" Albert; his grandchildren, Katie Prados Boutte and Justin Boudreaux; and his siblings, Ivan Bourque, Joseph Bourque, Mildred Cormier and Madeline LaPorte.
He is survived by: his children, Aline Albert Champagne (Lee), Karen Bourque Boudreaux (Ken) and Malcolm Bourque (Darlene); his daughter-in-law Shelly Landry Albert; and his sister Clemence "Jeanie" Bienvenu (Andy). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ira's name to Hospice of Acadiana.
