He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Poirier; his sons, Ewell "Timmy" Poirier, Jr. and Dana Poirier; his granddaughter Natasha Poirier; his father Julian Poirier, Sr.; his stepfather Euphemie Romero Hollier; and his siblings, Francis Poirier, Louis Poirier, Edmae Freeman, Julia Blanchard, Rosebell Breaux and Patsy Ann Gonzales.
He is survived by: his daughter Stephenie Poirier Kelley (Robert "Big Bob"); his grandchildren, Seth Poirier, Jacob Poirier, Schalacey Poirier, Chelsea Poirier and Shelby Poirier; his close friend Helen Tauzin; his stepchildren, Malcolm Poche (Beanie), Mark Poche (Christine), Carla Boggs (Jody) and Toni Akres (Isaac); and his siblings, Julian Poirier, Jr., Donald Poirier, Sr. (Juliette), Rodney Poirier, Sr. (Barbara), Margaret Segura and Rosie Hulin. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church (133 S Main St, St Martinville, LA 70582). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the St. Michael Cemetery (101 Cemetery Rd, St Martinville, LA 70582).
