With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allen Oubre Sr. of Saint Martinville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Gary Oubre; his parents, Otto Oubre and Louise Boutte Oubre; his siblings, Murphy Oubre (Gladys), Alton Oubre, Bobbie and Doris O. Decoux (Ned); his siblings-in-law, Hugh Langlinais and Hilda Gary; and his grandparents, Sidney, Cora Boutte, Ulyesse and Edmonia Dugas Oubre.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda O. Courville (Sim) of St. Martinville, Burt Oubre (Arleen) of St. Martinville and Allen "Buddy" Oubre, Jr. (Renee) of St. Martinville; his brothers-in-law, Louis Gary (Elsie) and Wilfred Gary of Parks; his grandchildren, Casie, Jason (Lindsey), Jenna, Kristen (Gregg), Alex (Mandi) and Ryan (Lani); his great grandchildren, Emma, Evan Oubre, Shepard Dupuis, Tucker Oubre, Owen, Sloane Durand, Mary and Claire Oubre; and his sister Mildred "Penny" O. Langlinais.
