She is survived by: her mother Stella Bellard Carriere; her children, Dayna Matte Dupre (Joseph Scott), Athena Matte Breaux (Michael) and James Wayne Matte II (Devonie) of Prairie Ronde; her siblings, Carolyn Forrestier of Scott, LA, Shepril Primeaux, Shana Doucet, David Carriere (Brenda) of Church Point, John Carriere (Katrina) and Shecky Carriere (Tammy); her grandchildren, Hunter James Dupre, Abigail Elizabeth, Isabella Claire "Foxy" Breaux, James Wayne III and Patrick Lysander Matte; and her great-uncle Lloyd Bellard of Church Point.
