It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel Rogers of Saint Joseph, Louisiana, born in Brownsville, Texas, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston Dunn and Carrie Mae Reeves Dunn; her husband Merrell Gladney Rogers; her siblings, Alvern "Sista" Sullivan (Bobbie Truitt), Truitt Dunn and William Lewis Dunn; and her great great grandchild Addy Lynn Merritt.
She is survived by: her friend Mable; her sons, Merrell Michael Rogers (Kimberly) of Saint Joseph, LA and Sammy Lee Rogers (Janice) of Ferriday, LA; her sister Helen Fortenberry of Lake Providence, LA; her grandchildren, Andrea Rogers Tarver (Joey) of Waterproof, LA, Meredith Rogers of Vicksburg, MS, Michael Bennett Rogers of Waterproof, LA, Megan Rogers Harkey (John) of Monroe, LA, Jessica Fletcher Andry (Dustin) of Baton Rouge, LA, Caitlin Rogers Trevillion (Adam) of Aledo, TX, Callie Rogers Neilson (Josh) of Delhi, LA and Justin Blaine Fletcher of St. Gabriel, LA; and her close friend Veronica Plaisance.
