He was predeceased by: his grandparents, J. C. Smith, Bertha Smith, Bernelle Buller Dunman and Cecil Carl Rider. He is survived by: his parents, Kurt Smith (Kara) of Oberlin, LA and Sherry Rider Smith of Kinder, LA; his wife Grace Caraway Smith; his sons, Thomas Smith and Jordan Smith, Jr.; and his siblings, Colby Smith (Ashley) of Lake Charles, L. A, Jerran Johnson of Kinder, LA and Dana Frechette of Oberlin, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to M.D. Anderson Melanoma Research.
