She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Lewis (Thomas) and Malinda Nelson; her adoptive daughter Theresa Tassin (Earl); her sons, Lionel, Jr. (Elizabeth), Donald Nelson (Thelma) and Anthony Nelson; her sisters, Adleen Whittington and Joann Mitchell (Paul); her former husband Lionel Nelson, Sr.; her sons, Lawrence, Ronald and Kenneth Nelson; her brother-in-law Tofield Whittington, Sr.; and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Nelson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
