With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annabel Newitt Wood of Saint James, Louisiana, who passed away on July 3, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Leslie Newitt and Anabel S. Torres; her parents-in-law, James Wood, Sr. and Anne R. Wood; her grandparents, Michele and Anabel Schexnayder; her son-in-law Joel Hincks; her siblings-in-law, Anne W. Perque and Cedric Usey; and her nephew Edgar Schexnayder.
She is survived by: her husband James J. Wood, Jr.; her stepfather Herman F. Torres, Sr.; her children, Donna Hincks, Janel Bourgeois (Eddie), Mary Morgan (Milton) and James Wood, III; her siblings, Shirley Usey, Karen Hernandez (Tracy) and Herman F. Torres, Jr. (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Leigh Morris, Anne B. Allen, Emily B. Cowley, Leslie Bourgeois, Hogan Bourgeois, Lindsey Wood, Peyton Wood, Ellie Wood, Brandon Cofield, Terence Cofield and Holden Ourso. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
