She is survived by: her children, Veronica Scieneaux, Melvin Whittington and Kenneth Whittington (Cheryl); her sister Joann Mitchell (Paul); her husband Tofield Whittington, Sr.; her sons, Tofield Whittington, Jr. and Reginald Whittington; and her sister Helen Nelson. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-in-law, other relatives and friends.
