He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Lacassin and Elmire Angelle Lacassin; his brothers, James Grady Lacassin, Louis Lacassin, Jr., Glenn Lacassin, Harold Lacassin, Johnnie Lacassin, Arthur Douglas Lacassin and Alfred Lacassin; and his brothers-in-law, Charlie Halphen and Charles Doucette.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Charles Cunningham (Rikki Dee) of Gonzales and Laura Johnson (David) of Bossier City; his siblings, Gerard Lacassin (Maryann) of Krotz Springs, Marie Audrey Halphen of Krotz Springs, Mary Acklin Doucette of Vinton and Mary Margaret Credeur (Andrus "Junior") of Bridge City, TX; his sister-in-law Jane Lacassin of Krotz Springs; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Haleigh Johnson, Hagan Mistric Evans, Kade Mistric, Gabi Mistric, Cory David Cunningham and Cody Charles Cunningham; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Makynlee, Sophie, Camilla and Jada. He is also survived by nieces and nephews that he loved like his own children.
