He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine Vinci Sullivan; his parents, Thomas Sullivan and Ethel Sullivan; his brothers, Woodrow, Dupree Prather and Vern Sullivan (Margie); his nephew Bill Sullivan; and his brother-in-law Dr. Sam Vinci.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Thomas (Sanford Thomas) and Dr. Frank Sullivan (Candice Sullivan); his grandchildren, Anna Rose, Betty Jane, Leonard Talbert Thomas, Elle and Daniel Sullivan; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Vinci and Dr. Richard Vinci; and his nieces and nephews, Steve, Rex (Pat Sullivan), Cindy Sullivan Robertson, Judy Sullivan Oglesby, Baker (Lane Vinci) and Catherine Vinci Daniels (Connie Proffitt Salazar).

“It is with heartfelt sympathy I extend these words of condolences. Mr. Sullivan was a giant of a man and he is irreplaceable. He and I served together on the West Feliciana Hospital Board. We worked as a team. He supported my DR Mission Trip, Operation Christmas Toy Drive and me as an individual. He encouraged me to trust myself and do a good work in whatever I sat out to do. He lived a good life and I am glad I had the opportunity to know him as a team member and friend.”
