He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandmother Mamma-Over; his wife Virginia Dipple Reames; his parents, Eddie Flowers Reames and Mary Catherine Thoms Reames; his sisters, Catherine Fay Foil, Dorothy Temple and Doris Jeanette Brian; his children, Mary Reames, Ed (Julie Reames), Ruth Caillouet (Barbara Holland) and Bonnie Reames; his grandchildren, Daniel Caillouet (Shira), Greg Parr (Adie), Dylan Reames (Leanne), Trace Reames (Kaylan Wood) and Allison Reames; and his great grandchildren, Samantha Bradley, Harper, Paisley Caillouet, Adelyn, Aubrey Parr, Haley Reames and Hudson Reames. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association to fund critical research and family support for the disease that stole away Eddie's memories in his later years or to The Hospice of Baton Rouge who cared for both Eddie and his beloved Virginia in their final days.
