He is survived by: his children, Alexandra Marquette Whitfield (Hunter) and Robert Edmond Marquette; his grandsons, Mills Edmond Whitfield and Gaius "Whit" Whitfield VII; his stepdaughters, Brandi Marie Herndon and Kristen Rachel Stewart; his nephew Theodore Broomes; and his nieces, Coleen Willis and Cynthia Bean. He is also survived by his family, friends.
