She is survived by: her husband Walter Levi Melancon; her daughters, Tonya Melancon Hill (late Devin) and Amanda Melancon Reilly (Brent); her siblings, Karen Hansen (Gary) and Bryan Riche (late Sonya); her parents-in-law, Henry Charles Melancon and Lena Marcello Melancon; her siblings-in-law, Charles Melancon, Janice Melancon Graci (Guy) and Gail Melancon Perniciaro (Joe); and her nieces and nephews, Jason Riche, David Hansen, Barry Graci, Kristy Hansen, Stephanie Riche Wust and Stacy Riche Roy. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
