He was predeceased by: his parents, James Long and Marion Long; and his brothers, Edward Long, James Long and John Long.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Long; his children, Joseph Long Jr. (Jennifer) and Ryan Long (Katie); his grandchildren, Dustin, Olivia, Brooklyn and Breannah; and his sisters, Barbara Godchaux and Mary Alberado. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
