He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Steven H. Brunner (Lynn); his parents, James Henry Heintz Sr. and Rita Voss Heintz; his sister Joy Pell (Billy); and his parents-in-law, Henry and Rosemary Brunner.

He is survived by: his wife Sarah Brunner Heintz; his children, Kerin Elizabeth Heintz, Jason Vincent Heintz Jr. (Julia) and Jordan Michael Heintz; his grandchildren, Hailie, Lillie, Emma, Jason "Lil man" III, Eli and Ethan; his great grandchildren, Kinslee and Baby Ard; his siblings, Judy Burkhardt (Charley), Jackie Cullia (Patrick), Jenifer Heintz, Joycelyn Heintz (Lewis), James Heintz Jr. (Terri) and Justin Heintz (Tammy); his brother-in-law John H. Brunner; and his friends, Donna and Henry Loescher.
