She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Bourgeois and Gertrude Hankel Bourgeois; her sisters, Margaret Lynette Jennings and Carol Joy Bourgeois; and her parents-in-law, Thomas Bennett and Eunice Bennett.
She is survived by: her husband Layne Joseph Bennett; her daughters, Robyn Smith (Jason) and Brittney Bennett; her grandchildren, Caylee Smith, Keegan Bode and Triston Smith; her pets, Jolie Blonde and Magnolia; and her siblings, Judy Bourgeois Zeringue (Brian) and Kevin Bourgeois (Claudia). She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Our Lady (2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA 70092). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM.
