She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph C. Gioia, Sr.; her son-in-law John Walsh, III; her parents, Victoria Ancalade Barrios and Justin Barrios; her siblings, Evon Barrios, Lloyd Barrios, Jane Henderson, Joyce Matthew and Thelma Hingle; and her great grandchild Kail Joseph Verdon.
She is survived by: her children, Adeline Walsh, Linda Hughes (Harry, Sr.), Joseph Gioia, Jr. (Lou), Michael Gioia, Sr. (Tessie), Dominick Gioia, Sr. and Penny Erato (Paul); her grandchildren, Harry Hughes, Jr., John "Jay" Walsh, IV, Joseph Gioia, Jr., Corey Hughes, Sr., Michael Gioia, Jr., Shannon Verdon, Carlo Gioia, Scott Gioia, Christian Gioia, Eric Strother, Dominick Gioia, Jr., Jason Gioia, Justin Gioia and Malissa Gioia; and her siblings, Marion Weber, Anna Bea Lightell, Emily Lind and Vernon Barrios. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
