He was predeceased by: his former wife Arilda Heinen; his parents, Lawrence J. Leonards and Annie Zaunbrecher Leonards; and his siblings, Josephine Leonards Cramer, Rita, Johanna, Lidwina Leonards, William, Norbert, Vincent and Raymond Leonards.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Funk Leonards; his children, Paul (Wynelle Leonards) of Canton, MS and Anne Christine Leonards (Brian Cagle) of Hernando, MS; his grandchildren, Anna Morgan Leonards, Lauren Christine Leonards, David Joseph Samuel Cagle and Sarah Margaret Whitlow Cagle; and his siblings, Catherine Leonards Huesers, Mary Ann "Rusty" Leonards, Henry, Dennis and Wilfred Leonards. He is also survived by 43 nieces and nephews; and over a hundred great-nieces and great-nephews.
