He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Tanner; his sons, John and Arnold Tanner; and his parents, W. H. Tanner and Nettie Tanner.
He is survived by: his wife Tiny Tanner; his son Byron Tanner; his grandchildren, Bambi Tanner Helmke (Derek), Wayne Tanner, Jesse Tanner and Erin Tanner Rousseau (Austin); and his daughter-in-law Gwena Tanner. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
