It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Marie Babin Merritt (Saint Amant, Louisiana), born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Whitney P. Babin, Sr.; and her siblings-in-law, Herman Lebourgeois, Gwen Babin and Lisa Babin. She is survived by: her children, Christian Merritt and Charity Merritt Ford (Keith); her grandsons, Sawyer, Cooper and Logan Ford; her mother Cornelia LeBlanc Babin; and her siblings, Whitney P. Babin, Jr. (Bonnie Vaughn), Dwayne Babin, Dale Babin (Selma), Brenda Babin Lebourgeois and Darla Babin Lewis (Matthews). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and so many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers the family would be honored for memorial donations to be made in Janet's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Full of Grace Cafe at Holy Rosary Church.
