He was predeceased by: his wife Amanda Gautreaux Batts; his parents, Fred Hicks Batts and Vivian Cecil Cannon Batts; and his nephew Timothy Gay Batts. He is survived by: his daughter Mallory Batts Oubre (David John); his grandchildren, Rhyley Arin Oubre and Piper Julien Oubre; his brother James Lee Batts; his nephew Tony Batts (Dana); his niece-in-law Lori Batts; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandi Roth (Matt), Nicholas Batts (Margeaux), Lane Batts and Hunter Batts; and also, Rowan, Finn, Damian and Vivian.
