He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Ann Andrews and Joseph Walter Ellis; his granddaughter Erica Ledger; and his siblings, Leona, Clarence, Betty, Curtis and Deannie.
He is survived by: his children, Veronica Lawson (Allan), Dessie Kressman (Kenneth), Robert Ellis (Tonya) and Aaron Ellis; his grandchildren, Ashton, Robbie, Cameron and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Rossi, Benjamin and Caselyn; and his sisters, Sharon James, Mary Kearce and Connie Chapman.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ascension Funeral Home (426 W New River St, Gonzales, LA 70737). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
