He is survived by: his mother Johnnie Faye Colvin of Ruston, Louisiana; his wife Carol Ayers Colvin; his son Sidney Joel Colvin Jr.; his granddaughter Avery Kay Colvin of Ruston, Louisiana; his children, Coleman Randolph Herrington of Union, Mississippi and Elizabeth Herrington Patterson (Allie Patterson); his grandsons, Alex and Cole Herrington of Union, Mississippi; and his siblings, Laura Colvin Martzell of Key Biscayne, Florida, Dickie Colvin (Dawn Fowler Colvin) of Benton, Tennessee and Jamie Lynn Colvin of Colorado. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
