He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Whitaker and Grace Whitaker; and his siblings, Marilyn Whitaker, Florine Moore and Eugene "Whit" Whitaker.
He is survived by: his friend Ed; his wife Martha Whitaker; his children, Ron Whitaker (Meredith) of Ruston, LA and Ginger Grimes of Charleston, SC; his sisters, Betty Luttering (Ty) of Katy, TX and Connie Guidry (Bubba) of Katy, TX; his sister-in-law Jean Whitaker of Shreveport, LA; and his grandchildren, Anna Grace McClain (Nathan), Jack, John, Ella Kate Whitaker, Harris and Griffin Grimes. He is also survived by his family, special neighbors, and friends.
