With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavon Edward Chandler of Ruston, Louisiana, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Howard and Cora Chandler (Hauver); his wife Martha; his son Stephen Chandler; and his beautiful Martha.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Baldwin (Bob) of Bentonville, AR and Willis Edward (Lynette); his daughter-in-law Juanita Chandler of Raleigh, NC; his sister-in-law Betty Tynes of Calhoun, LA.; and his grandchildren, Nancy Walters, MaryBeth Johnson, Robert Baldwin, Jr., Martha Omenski, Caroline Bivens, Ronald Chander, Alex Chandler and Alison Dethlefs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries.
