He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Daniel "Dan" Hollingsworth, Sr. and Marguerite Hollingsworth; his siblings, Richard Hollingsworth and Virginia Harrison; and his granddaughter Caroline Adelle Semerad.

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Faye; his children, Beverly Theresa Hollingsworth Vieillescazes (Pierre), Lauren Adelle Hollingsworth, Margaret Christine Hollingsworth Rabun (Mike), Joseph Daniel Hollingsworth, III (Audrey) and Emily Anne Hollingsworth Nientimp (David); his grandchildren, Emma Louise Vieillescazes, Rachel Hollingsworth, Madeline Nientimp and Daniel Nientimp; his great grandchild Anna Adelle Navarria; his brother Jimmy Jackson Hollingsworth (Lourdes); and his sister-in-law Faye Wilkinson Hollingsworth. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
