It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ila Hood of Ruston, Louisiana, born in Wisner, Louisiana, who passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jessie Shivor and Cecil Shivor; her husband Cecil Hood of Corinth, LA; her siblings-in-law, Elise Shivor and Fred Marshall; her son Mike Hood (Charlie); her grandson Brendan of Dubach, LA; and her siblings, Pearl (Bob Horton) of Lake Village, AR, Cecil Shivor of Marksville, LA, Robert Shivor (Elaine) of Calhoun, LA and Roy Shivor (Sarah) of West Monroe, LA. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Operation Christmas Child.
