He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus Evans and Ruby Evans of Royston; his former wife Patricia Chapman Evans; and his daughter Sandra Elizabeth Evans of Ruston. He is survived by: his wife Molly Evans of Tyler, Texas; his daughter Julie Evans Kyte (John Kyte) of Ruston; his grandsons, Kyle Carnahan (Payton Carnahan) of Ruston, Jake Kyte (Aubrey) of Austin, Texas and Robert Kyte of Winter Park, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Kegan Carnahan and Evan Carnahan of Ruston; and his stepdaughter Valarie Ellis of Decatur, Georgia..
