With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Ray Payne of Ruston, Louisiana, who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O. C. Payne and Shirley Payne. He is survived by: his wife Pam Payne; his children, Zeb Payne (Mary), Chris Payne (Melinda), Katie Payne and Scott Love; his grandchildren, Kyler Payne, Ellanor Payne, Gwynn Love and Grey Love; his siblings, Angela (Eddie Smith), Pam Kelley and Robert Sweat; and his in-laws, V. A. and Joyce Hennen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Owens Memorial Chapel (2300 W California Ave, Ruston, LA 71270). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Douglas Cemetery. A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the same location.
