It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Leachman of Ruston, Louisiana, born in Downsville, Louisiana, who passed away on June 3, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Layton Leachman; and her parents, Victor Averitte and Louise Roberts Averitte. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Leachman Hinman (Mike) of Covington, Louisiana and Terry Van Leachman (Shelly) of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Melissa Hinman White (Roy), Philip Hinman and Layton Leachman; her great grandchildren, Aylia Hinman Issa, Laken, Caden, Kyler and Veda-Rose White of Covington, Louisiana; and her sisters, Margerite Averitte Hammons (Jerry) and Connie Averitte Sullivan-Guillot. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
