With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mitzi Thompson of Rosepine, Louisiana, who passed away on August 31, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Barge Nix and Yule Esther Dingler Nix; her sister Anita Merle Nix; and her son-in-law Reynolds Ray Dunn. She is survived by: her children, Cecile Dunn of Natchitoches, LA, Myron Thompson (Elaine) and Leslie Kodrin (Jack); her sister Margie Zimmerman of Springhill, LA; her grandchildren, Kelli Dunn Carter, Jeremy Dunn, Farrah Miller, Neil Thompson, Kile Kyle, Chad Blankenbaker, Cody Blankenbaker and Chase Blankenbaker; her niece Connie Savoie; her nephew Donnie Zimmerman; and her friends, Mary, James Giddings, Raffie, Gene Reeves and Helen Lassard. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other family and friends.
