LaRue Cooley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2024, at the age of 88, LaRue Cooley of Rosepine, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Opal Cooley; his son James W. Cooley; his daughter-in-law Deanna Cooley; his grandsons, Scott G. Cooley and Joshua A. Cooley; his parents, Fred Cooley and Lora Cooley; and his brother Ronnie Cooley.
He is survived by: his sons, Jarvis Cooley (Kathryn) and Kevin Cooley (Debbie); his sister Nelda Ford (Jerry); his grandchildren, Michael "Ryan" Cooley, H. Erin Cooley, Janice Willis, Kevin, Austin G. Cooley and Cameron B. Cooley; his great grandchildren, Brett, Penelope, Caleb and Opal; and his brothers, Garrett Fuselier and Kennis Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Myers Colonial Funeral Home (3178 US-190, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
