He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Kidd Simmons and Alice Mae Lewis Simmons; and his sister Margaret Simmons Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Martha Gene Zylks Simmons of Rodessa; his children, Byron Zylks, Bruce Zylks, Toni Simmons Clark, Leslee Simmons Patterson, Ruth Marie Simmons Chapman and Frank Kidd Simmons; and his siblings, Eddie Simmons and Barbara "Bobbi" Simmons Cloud. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
