She was predeceased by: her husband Troy Chapman, Sr.; her parents, James Thomas and Oda Thomas; and her siblings, Jewel Thomas, Teddy Thomas, Clinton Thomas and Margie Crain.
She is survived by: her children, Troy Chapman, Jr. (Wanda), Lillian Meggs (Richard) and Jimmy Chapman (Janice); her grandchildren, Donovan Chapman, J. C. Chapman, Leilani Long, Clay Chapman, Brooke Harris, Melinda Goudeau and Wes Mayes; and her sisters, Myrtle Trusty and Mary Lou Hammett. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Carolyn's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
