It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velda Thornton of Robert, Louisiana, born in Jena, Louisiana, who passed away on June 15, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Gail Walker. She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Reeves of Jonesville and Velda Denise Morse (Darryl) of Robert, Louisiana.; and her grandchildren, Susan Gordon, J. J. Ingram, Amanda Williamson, Crystal Pritchard, Lorie Wright, Charlotte Bridges, Robin Abney, Shaye Spell, Dillon Morse and Gove Morse.
