He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Cross and Joseph Cross Jr.; and his siblings, Elaine Depoy, Glenda Jean McDonald and Robert Cross.

He is survived by: his wife Elvina Cross; his children, Edward Joseph "EJ" Cross (Tina) and JoAnn Fernandez (Vernon); his brother Vernon Cross; his grandchildren, Justin Fernandez, Paige Fernandez, Collin Fernandez and Christina Harper (Ronald); his great grandchild Brenden Fernandez; and his pet Chewy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
