He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Charles H. Freeman; his wife Ellen Elouise "Scooter" Freeman; his siblings, Charles R. Freeman, Gary W. Freeman, Hershell L. Freeman and Joy A. Johns; and his granddaughter Mya M. Freeman.
He is survived by: his mother Jean G. Freeman of Lake End; his sons, Marvin Louis Freeman, II (Jennifer) of Ft. Jesup, Jonathan Noblelee Freeman (Amanda) of Zwolle and Anthony Wayne Freeman (Courtney) of Robeline; his sister Nelda J. Putek of Lake End; and his grandchildren, Savannah Freeman, Destiny Freeman, Jonathan Freeman, II, Marvin Louis Freeman, III, Justin Freeman, Ella Freeman, Anthony J. Freeman, Jerry Freeman and Rowan Freeman.
