He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Kay and Orene Rials Kay; his wife Melba Marie Kay; his son Kent Kay; his sister Francis Woodruff; his granddaughter Meaghan Beaudoin; and his close friend Dorothy McLaren.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Kay of Robeline and Danny Kay (Anita) of Natchitoches; his grandchildren, Johnny, Joey, Ashton, Russ, Jason, Jessica, Lacey and Jennifer; and his sister Betty Movan. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
