She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Parrie and Elvie Parrie (Meshell); and her son Lee Mitchell. She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Strahan of Shreveport, LA; and her siblings, Doris Bass of Zwolle, LA, Frances Carter of Many, LA, Sherry Leach of Zwolle, LA, Evone Patnoe of Janesville, WI, William L. Parrie of Many, LA and Pete Leon Parrie of Houston, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
