“Today (1/7/2020) I discovered that Sybil passed away the previous May. I live in Columbus Oh and had not communicated with her in recent years, but I have known her since we were history graduate students at the Univ. of New Orleans in 1976-78. It was her influence that led me to become an academic librarian and I am now in my 41st year. Sybil and I communicated about library & career matters over the years. She was a great colleague and friend. David Lincove”
