It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Austin Barbara of River Ridge, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvadore "Sam" Barbara and Inez Austin Barbara of New Orleans. He is survived by: his wife Gloria H. Barbara; his children, Karen B. Brown, Wanda B. Kelly (Michael), Connie B. Nickelson and Darrell S. Barbara (Stacy); his grandchildren, Vincent Brown, Katie Brown Persick (Darren), Ross Brown, Raquel Kelly, Reed Kelly (Jamie), Chad Kelly, Samantha DiVincenti (Brian), Thomas Nickelson, Luke Barbara and Brooke Barbara; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Persick and Austin Kelly; and his sister Mary Probst (George) of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that charitable donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
