She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Cecil Carver and Dorothy Echols Carver; and her sibling Margaret "Cecile" Hilburn (Sid). She is survived by: her child Richard L. Brehm, Jr.; her sibling Carolyn Lee Goodloe; her friend Charlotte Bush; and her great-niece Ellie Grace Bane (James). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
