He was predeceased by: his father Joel Richard Phillips, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Glasscox Phillips; his children, Joel Richard Phillips, III and Sandra Nicole Phillips; his grandchildren, Aiden, Landen, Addisyn, Carter and Cadence; and his siblings, Anita Brown (Chuck), Juanita Barbaro (Jeff), Alan Phillips (Debby) and Deborah Lizarraga (Daniel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
