With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Lou Bates Thomas of Ringgold, Louisiana, who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earvy F. Bates and Annie Bates; her husband Travis Thomas; her daughter Debbie Thomas; and her grandson Travis Myers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dian Thomas of Ringgold, LA and Denise Myers of Minden, LA; her granddaughters, Donna Fielding and Jessica Alley; her great grandchildren, Dustin Fielding, Thomas Fielding, Julie Rowe, Colten Alley, Waylynn Alley and Elliot Myers Walden; her great great grandchild John Brooks Rowe; and her siblings, Billy Bates (Diana) of Illinois and Maxine Ursell (Burl Ann Young) of Florida. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rockett Funeral Home Chapel (2438 Military Rd, Ringgold, LA 71068).
