He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Cook and Arlena Glover Tasby; his stepfather Frank Tasby; his siblings, Mattie Pearl Tasby-Williams and S. T. Reliford (Bull); and also Elmo Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Bessie M. Williams; his children, Flossie Wilcott of Shreveport, LA., Roy Cook, Velmon Cook of Ringgold, LA., Carolyn Glover (LaJuan) of Wichita Falls, TX. and Dorothy Jones (Gerald) of Garland, TX.; and his siblings, Ida Mae Barnett of Vacaville, CA., Debbie Richardson of Niceville, FL., Jessie M. McCray of Shreveport, LA., Shirley Ann Landers of Shreveport, LA., Dina Hart of Arlington, TX. and DeEarnest Tasby (Pete) of Shreveport, LA.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
