It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Lou Nelson (Ringgold, Louisiana), born in Castor, Louisiana, who passed away on October 17, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Havard and Susie Havard of Castor; her husband Nelson Jr.; her children, Ricky Lynn, James Neal and Joan Woodall; and her brother Tom.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Fowler (Steve) of Minden, Donna Jennings (Brian) of Marthaville, Angela Griggs (Troy) of Ruston and Andy Nelson of Shreveport; and her brother Bobby Havard (Dorothy) of Shreveport. She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.
