He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Ray Salter, Sr. and Mary Ella Conly Salter; his siblings, John Salter and Betty Carol "B. C." Murchison; and his nephews, Mikey Salter and Allen Salter.
He is survived by: his sons, Tait Salter (Evangeline) of Greenwood, LA and Ty Joe Salter (Jan) of Altus, OK; his grandchildren, Ethan and Emme Salter of Greenwood, LA; his siblings, Mary Ann Kellogg of Ringgold, LA, Bill Salter (Susan) of Ringgold, LA, Steve Salter of Jerusalem, AR and Terry Salter (Bonni) of Jamestown, LA; and his close friend Rita Uzzle of Ringgold, LA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
