He is survived by: his sons, John T. Sanders of Bradley, Arkansas and Danny; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Sanders of Tallulah, Louisiana; his children, Nathan Quinton Sanders and Teresa Sanders; his son-in-law Bill Davis of Social Springs, Louisiana; his daughters, Kathy Sanders Gill of Taylorsville, Georgia and Krystal Sanders Allums of Coushatta, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, John Sanders, Jr., Tommy Ray Gill, Jr., Julious Michael Gill, Wendy Gill Young, Fran Gill Bates, Michelle Sanders LeJeune, Tonya Sanders Holloway, Dani Sanders Tuggle, Cheyene Sanders Summerville, Quinton Sanders, Natasha Sanders, April Batton, Jason Cobb, Justin Davis, Jennifer Davis Bates, Keith Gill, Kevin Gill, Tayler Sanders, Tyler Sanders, Coty Harrison, Colt Harrison, Devin Harrison, Susan Mayberry and Kimberly Chism. He is also survived by great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
